Winners

Level I: (grades 4 - 7)

Traci Tangney writing to Mary Downing Hahn, author of Wait Till Helen Comes. Traci is in Florence Hayward’s 5th grade class at Glacier Valley School in Juneau, AK.

Level II: (grades 8 - 12)

Ben Sturgulewski writing to Chuck Palahniuk, author of Survivor. Ben is in Patti Irwin’s 10th grade class at Service High, Anchorage, AK.

The top state winners each receive cash awards of $100.

Level I: (grades 4 - 7):

Addie Tousley writing to Barbara Williams, author of Titanic Crossing. Addie is in Florence Hayward’s 5th grade class at Glacier Valley School in Juneau, AK.

Level II: (grades 8 - 12):

Louise Rea writing to Jerry Spinelli, author of Stargirl. Louise is in Lauri Packebush’s 8th grade class at Romig Middle School, Anchorage, AK.
