Our newsletter provides information and deadlines for
all the programs that Alaska Center for the Book sponsors. The
calendar of events features upcoming writing workshops, book discussion
groups, author events and volunteer opportunities around the state.
Our goal as an organization is to be a clearinghouse for literature
and literacy programs available throughout Alaska.
How to Get Involved
The Alaska Center for the Book’s dedicated core of volunteers
work together more like family than like a formal organization.
As a team we roll up our sleeves and do everything from grant-writing
to stapling newsletters. We are always looking for members to
join our family of readers, writers and book-lovers. We are also
delighted to welcome new volunteers who are willing to work along
side us to further the cause of literacy and language in Alaska.
