This statewide gathering has grown into the largest writers'
conference of its kind in Alaska. In partnership with the University
of Alaska Anchorage, Department of Creative Writing and Literary
Arts, the conference hosts distinguished authors from the
Lower 48 -- as well as Alaska authors -- who share their talent
and wisdom with aspiring writers. The workshop format offers
inspiration for and lessons on the craft of writing. Writing
Rendezvous takes place in spring of each year in Anchorage.
This years event is co-sponsored by Anchorage
Municipal Libraries.
The Alaska Center for the Book is putting Writing Rendezvous on sabbatical this year, but it continues its tradition of offering useful, informative presentations with a special event on April 15 and 16 featuring authors Richard Goodman and Patricia Klindienst.
