Kate Partridge is a poet and essayist from Richmond, Virginia. Her poems have appeared in Pleiades, Blackbird, Colorado Review, Alaska Quarterly, and other journals. She also is the author of the hybrid chapbook Intended American Dictionary (MIEL, 2016).She received an MFA from George Mason University, where she was editor in chief of So to Speak, and a BA from Denison University. She taught at the University of Alaska Anchorage for several years, and now divides her time between Los Angeles and Denver. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Literature and Creative Writing at USC, where she is a Dornsife/Graduate School Fellow. She is an editor at Gazing Grain Press.
